Campfire Safety Tips for a Great Camping Trip

The Great American Backyard Campout is scheduled for next month where people from all 50 states will gather in their backyards, communities, campgrounds and parks will reconvene with nature. With this date in mind, we thought we’d provide you with some campfire safety tips to make this and other camping trips as enjoyable and drama-free as possible, according to the National Wildlife Foundation.

First and foremost, always check with the campground manager or local forest service about restrictions to avoid potential forest fire hazards.

1) Make sure to keep your fire small and build fires only in a fire ring, stove or fireplace.
